Leather Jacket New-Ageisms

Two weeks ago, I made a decision, purely from my gut to start a holistic health coach program the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I am by no means a health freak. In fact I am an incredibly busy New Yorker who’s spent the last two years juggling three different jobs, eating take-out 90% of the time and navigating an array of food intolerances I pretended I didn’t have. I am a pole-dance instructor, a female-centric filmmaker and a foodie.

However, I am in the process of leaving a career I thought I loved and a lifestyle I thought I wanted in search for a more fulfilling soulful connected presence on this planet. Since I work a lot with women, I’ve noticed one recurring theme. We all want the secret to becoming a Siren, someone who can lure in anything they want at any time. We all have that potential, we may just not know how to tap into it. When in fact it’s quite simple! The key is living truthfully and fully in our bodies.

Now that sounds great in theory right? But you’re probably asking yourself, what does that mean? You don’t just wake up one day living truthfully and fully in your body. It is a journey. An on-going one.

So here I thought what better way to do this than to document a slice of my own journey first. Over the next 12 months, I will be documenting one aspect of it: learning how to provide a nurturing and nutritious meal to my body so I can feel light, joyful and above all sexy in my skin – while somehow still loving what I’m eating!

Here it begins, my journey stepping into sexy eating (and living)

Task 1: Eat Kale while donning leather jacket. (Ain’t nothin hotter than a rocker chick getting her daily intake of phytochemicals)
