VEGAN DATE NIGHT: PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM STEAK

Ladies, a simple 10 minute recipe for your man… or the man in you.

What you need:

A large portobello mushroom (like really large) 

Balsamic Vinegar

Olive Oil 

Green Onions

Garlic

Veggie Broth

Saute the onions and 1 garlic clove in olive oil for a few mins in saucepan. Add about a cup or so of veggie broth. Clean the portobello mushroom (preferably with a soft, damp cloth and try not to fully soak it in water.) Then put the mushroom in. Add in about 3-4 tbspoons of vinegar. Cook for 5 mins. Then flip to the other side for another 5. Add salt/pepper to taste.

I totally used this recipe on a recent date night and I can tell you it worked 🙂 Satisfying but leaving you with enough room to enjoy yourself after the meal. 

Great sides to pair this with include:

– brussel sprouts, kale or green beans (leave the asparagus for another when you are ALONE)

– quinoa or roasted garlic mashed potatoes
